How do I monitor the therapeutic effects of recombinant Factor VIIa?
Laboratory coagulation parameters may be used as an adjunct to the clinical evaluation of hemostasis for monitoring the effectiveness and treatment schedule of Recombinant Factor VIIa, although these parameters have not shown a direct correlation to the level of hemostasis achieved. Assays of prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), and plasma FVII clotting activity (FVII:C) may provide different results with different reagents.
